Amy Kagan, President
Amy Kagan has been producing, presenting and promoting the performing arts for over 20 years. Her career began working with George Wein’s Festival Productions, Inc. where she produced the Mellon Jazz Festival in Philadelphia, the Newark Jazz Festival in Newark, NJ and various other multi-day festivals and events. Highlights include NPR’s 25th Anniversary Celebration at the White House for President and Mrs. Clinton and producing Hollywood Rockwalk’s 10th Anniversary Celebration featuring Carlos Santana and an all-star cast to raise money for Grammy in the Schools Music Education program.
Amy went on to become one of the original team members to open the New Jersey Performing Arts Center in Newark, NJ in October 1997. As Director of Programming Management, she was responsible for booking events in three performance spaces including a 2,800 seat hall, a 500 seat theater and a black box space.
Most recently Amy was the Director of Marketing and Events for The Perlman Music Program Suncoast, the host of The Perlman Music Program’s winter residency in Sarasota, FL. Founded by Toby Perlman, wife of internationally acclaimed violinist and conductor Itzhak Perlman, The Perlman Music Program (PMP) offers unparalleled musical training to young string players of rare and special talent. Amy presented and promoted events throughout the community featuring graduates of The Perlman Music Program, including arts education outreach programs in Sarasota and Manatee County schools.
